What is XERF

XERF is a non invasive skin tightening treatment that uses two radiofrequency frequencies, 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz, to deliver controlled heat at different depths within the skin.

By targeting both superficial and deeper tissue, the treatment stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. This helps strengthen the skin’s supporting structure and improve laxity without needles or incisions.

The technology includes integrated cooling to protect the surface of the skin and keep the treatment comfortable. Most patients describe a feeling of warmth rather than pain, and numbing cream is not usually required

What happens during the treatment

Before treatment, your practitioner will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and create a personalised treatment plan.

The XERF handpiece is moved across the treatment area, delivering controlled pulses of radiofrequency energy. You will feel periods of warmth as the energy reaches the targeted tissue, while the device’s cooling system helps protect the skin’s surface and maintain comfort.

Treatment usually takes between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.

When will I see results

Some patients notice an initial improvement in firmness and definition soon after treatment. However, XERF is designed to stimulate collagen remodelling, so results continue to develop gradually over the following weeks and months.

Your outcome will depend on your age, skin condition, lifestyle and personalised treatment plan. A course of treatment or future maintenance session may be recommended.

Is there any downtime

XERF requires little to no recovery time. You can usually return to work and normal daily activities immediately after your appointment.

The skin may appear slightly red or feel warm and mildly swollen following treatment. These effects are normally temporary and should settle within several hours to a day.

How long do the results last

Results may last approximately 8 to 12 months following the recommended treatment plan, although this varies between patients. Maintenance treatments can help support your results as the natural ageing process continues.
